About UFGD 2023
As the BFA Graphic Design Class of 2023, consisting of two exceptionally talented cohorts and 32 dedicated individuals, we graduated in May 2023 with a deep passion for creativity and innovation. Coming from diverse backgrounds, we fostered a dynamic environment and embraced various design disciplines, including branding, illustration, web design, typography, and more, showcasing our versatility and adaptability. Throughout our academic journey, we pursued excellence and pushed the boundaries of design, culminating in a powerful body of work that reflected our growth. As we stepped into the professional world, we were poised to make a lasting impact on the field of graphic design, ready to embark on the next chapter of our creative journey.
Ligature 32
Ligature is the University of Florida’s annual graphic design symposium featuring internationally recognized designers who lead lectures, workshops, portfolio reviews and a juried exhibition of the work of the university’s graphic design students.
The theme of Ligature 32 was centered on the celebration of explosive creativity. This year, we had the pleasure of hosting Dazzle’s Zipeng Zhu as our keynote lecturer, in addition to Polymode’s Randa Hadi and Brian Johnson for our workshop.

voxGraphis
VoxGraphis is a club affiliated with the University of Florida that was established for the purpose of supporting students interested in graphic design, for any student, regardless of major or discipline. VoxGraphis allows its members to explore and promote academic and career issues related to the fields of design.
Every year, Vox holds a variety of events and activities which encourage the spread of design awareness to the community and engagement with the arts. This year, we had our first in-person Vox Trip since before the pandemic, held in Nashville. We also participated in local markets within Gainesville.
