Nicole Rodríguez

Hola! I’m a graphic designer from Costa Rica, currently based in Gainesville FL, with a passion for functional design. My design strategies focus on iconic color choices for brand identities that are engaging, eclectic, and experimental. During my free time I like to stay active with yoga, weightlifting, and occasionally scuba diving. Ideally I would love to thrive in a bold team of creatives who encourage me to keep learning and improving my design practices. Innovative spaces and UI/UX design are also crucial in such an emerging technological world which is why I strive to stay in on current softwares: Illustrator, InDesign, Adobe XD, Figma, Photoshop, and After Effects.

chamba

Chamba is a mobile application developed to connect Costa Rican handy-workers without formal education to new job opportunities and help them achieve their financial goals. The name “Chamba” is derived from a colloquial Spanish term for work, which reflects the brand’s identity and lighthearted personality. Currently, there are limited accessible platforms for workers without high school or higher education diplomas to find job opportunities, and most rely on word-of-mouth referrals to promote their services. To address this challenge, the Chamba app has been designed with the needs of these workers in mind. Through the app, they can expand their network and access new potential clients faster, making it easier to schedule jobs and increase their earning potential.
